Other Details to Note

We welcome families and have some basic kid supplies (books, toys, etc.). No smoking or parties, please — this is a quiet, residential area. Gainesville has a robust urban wildlife scene — you may see birds, squirrels, or even the occasional tree frog in the yard. We ask that you treat the home with the same care you'd give your own.

Accessibility

Neighborhood

Duckpond is one of Gainesville’s oldest neighborhoods. Located northeast of downtown, it was developed principally in the late 1800s through the first few decades of the 1900s. Duckpond’s quiet, narrow streets take you back a century. Here, moss-draped oaks, vibrant gardens and splendid traditional architecture conjure an early 1900s version of Gainesville.

Guest Access

You’ll have full, private access to the downstairs unit, including the entire fenced yard. The only exception is a locked owner’s closet in the back hallway. There is a separate upstairs unit with its own private entrance — no shared interior spaces.

I texted asking for a lat minute stay at Gerald's place. He answered right away and I was booked and in the lovely home within 30 minutes Everything was as listed and wonderful. A dead end street, so quiet, safe and a great fenced yard for my dog

My dog and I stayed for a night en route to another city and the house was exactly what we were hoping for. The fenced yard was perfect and much appreciated. Everything was very comfortable!
